Hi Emily,

I just saw your "Portrait of Two" on the and wanted to let you know I think it is really excellent work. It brought the characters alive for me.

Great art is all about moving the observer in some way, touching their hearts, or conveying and inspiring any combination of energy, mood, emotion, story, wonder, beauty/ugliness, message, concept, idea, or thought.

Capturing personality, emotion, attitude, spirit, and story of the character's face can be a challenge, considering that there are 412 human emotions and only 20 facial muscles to express them.

I particularly admire the talent because I am unable to do it. Despite being an artist, I am autistic and one of my disorders is the inability to see faces in my mind. I have partner of almost 20 years and I cannot see his face when I close my eyes. To a draw a face from a model I have to look and draw at the same time, no looking then looking at my drawing pad to draw.
